Violent flash floods hit the Grand Canyon's Bright Angel Canyon and Phantom Ranch area, causing "extensive damage" to the park's water infrastructure.
The National Park Service has made some changes to which days people can visit the parks for free. The website for the service says Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Juneteenth are no longer listed as free days.
For the first time since 2020, no survivors of the attack were in attendance. Only 12 are still alive, and all are over 100 years old.
