Dwayne Wade underwent kidney surgery in December 2023 after a scan revealed a tumor.

There's no point in Wade going through the motions and pretending he cares amid a Bulls' rebuild.
A Wade buyout "would have to be advantageous for us," Bulls executive John Paxson says.
The Bulls have until June 30 to decide whether to bring Rondo back for 2017-'18.
Wade averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists last season while shooting 43.4 percent.
The Bulls' heavily nuanced meetings have become farcical in their over-complication of mediocrity.
Wade holds a player option to return to the Bulls for $23.8 million in 2017-'18.
The Bulls essentially hold an option on the veteran Rondo, who's guaranteed $3 million next season.
The Bulls fell 105-83 to the Celtics in a Game 6 in which their effort waned and flaws were again exposed.
"We've all got to be ready to shine in our lead moments," Wade says.
