Drowning is a leading cause of death for children in the U.S. between the ages of 1 and 4. Until recently, guidelines for CPR have focused on chest compressions to save drowning victims, but now, the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics say rescue breaths are also critical. Michael George reports.
"The passage of this bill is just such a victory because it means that people will not have to go through what I went through."
As paramedics rushed to him, Amanda talked his friends through the call to keep his heart pumping.
Wojciech Wilczynski was running at the Waterfall Glen Trails in DuPage County when he collapsed – while his friend screamed for help.
