A man was killed and a 13-year-old boy was seriously wounded in a shooting Saturday morning in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side, police said.
The latest homicide happened about 10:30 p.m. in the Rosemoor neighborhood, where 42-year-old Joseph Anderson was found dead with a gunshot wound to the face on the floor of his apartment in the 400 block of East 107th Street, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The 24-year-old was walking down the street at 2:51 a.m. in the 5100 block of West Madison when a silver or gray car drove by and someone inside shot him, according to Chicago Police.
The latest killing happened at 8:07 p.m. in the Austin neighborhood, where a 29-year-old man was shot in the shoulder in the 5200 block of West Quincy.
Just before 10 p.m., a man in his 30s was arguing with a 29-year-old man he lives with in the 1400 block of North Menard when the argument escalated and the 29-year-old grabbed a knife and stabbed him, according to Chicago Police.
