"Wow, wow — Will Smith just smacked the s*** out of me," Rock said as Smith returned to his seat after the slap seen around the world.
"It's one of the first times we see deaf actors playing deaf characters and being recognized for it."
"I really don't buy into defending his wife. I mean, even if he was offended, there are better ways to handle the situation."
Will Smith took home the award for best actor shortly after a shocking moment when he appeared to slap Chris Rock across the face.
About 30 minutes later, Will Smith won the Oscar for Best Actor.
