White Sox Sign 17 Contracts For 2011
The White Sox are ready for the 2011 season. They made big moves in the off-season and the team has the confidence they need to go far. The team signed 17 contracts, among them Gordon Beckham.
The Chicago White Sox have signed 17 players to contracts for this season, including second baseman Gordon Beckham, potential starting third baseman Brent Morel and relievers Sergio Santos and Chris Sale.
Right-handed pitcher Lucas Harrell, outfielder Alejandro De Aza, middle infielder Brent Lillibridge and catcher Tyler Flowers, who all made appearances with the team in 2010, were also signed.
Rounding out the 40-man roster are infielder Eduardo Escobar, outfielder Stefan Gartrell and pitchers Anthony Carter, Kyle Cofield, Freddy Dolsi, Gregory Infante, Nate Jones, Jeff Marquez and Jhonny Nunez.
