Two Officers Injured When Squad Car Strikes Pole

CHICAGO (STMW) - Two Chicago Police officers were injured when the squad car they were traveling in struck a pole early Saturday on the South Side.

The officers' squad car struck a pole in the 400 block of West 63rd Street about 1:20 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said.

The officers were taken to Holy Cross Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

It is not known if weather conditions played a role in the crash.
