Giant Turtle Pulled To Safety From Illinois Highway
CHICAGO (CBS)--A giant turtle was pulled to safety off the highway in downstate Illinois on Thursday.
Illinois State Police posted photos on Facebook of a man hauling the turtle off I-74 this morning.
Police responded after motorists reported a large turtle blocking traffic near Bloomington/Normal.
Callers were concerned the turtle would be run over or cause an accident, police said.
