Storms impacted Memorial Day travel and events

The first wave of storms Sunday caused a ground stop at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. Heavy rainfall left standing water on lanes of I-55 near Pulaski Road in Chicago.

The second day of the Sueños Festival in Grant Park was delayed due to weather. According to the festival's X, formerly known as Twitter, account attendees were advised to wait until a confirmed opening time was announced before heading to the festival. Gates were opened around 4 p.m.
