Seven Injured After Cab Crashes On South Side

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Five children and two adults were injured when a taxi crashed into a building Friday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood.

The cab crashed into a building in the 7100 block of South Yates about 2:30 p.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.

Five children were taken to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital, fire officials said. Their conditions were stabilized.

Two adults were in serious condition after the crash, Fire Media Affairs said. One was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, while the other was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital.
