Semi truck crashes through median on I-80 near Tinley Park

A semi truck rollover crash is causing closures on I-80 near Tinley Park on Thursday morning. 

Illinois State Police said the truck crashed into the concrete barrier, causing debris to fall onto the roadway in the westbound lanes at Milepost 147.

The truck was pulled upright just before 7 a.m.

ISP said the westbound and eastbound lanes were partially blocked after the crash. Eastbound lanes later reopened, but westbound lanes remained blocked and motorists were driving in the grass to get around the obstruction.

All lanes were back open by 8:17 a.m.

No injuries were reported, police said. 

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
