Reports: Cubs Offer Job To Sveum
(CBS) The Cubs have offered their managerial job to Brewers hitting coach Dale Sveum, according to multiple reports.
No contract agreement has been reached, but Sveum is expected to accept the Cubs offer by week's end, CBSSports.com's Scott Miller reports.
Like the Cubs, the Red Sox interviewed Sveum for their managerial opening twice, but as of late Wednesday night, Boston had not extended an offer.
Multiple reports indicate that Sveum prefers the Cubs' job over Boston.
