Report: Cubs Ink LHP Brian Matusz To A Minor League Deal
(CBS) The Cubs have signed left-hander Brian Matusz to a minor league deal, the Tribune's Mark Gonzales reported Tuesday.
The 29-year-0ld Matusz was recently released by the Braves, who acquired him from the Orioles in May. The fourth overall pick in the 2008 draft, Matusz has a career 4.85 ERA across eight seasons with Baltimore. He has an ERA of 12.00 in seven appearances this season.
