Missing Developmentally Disabled Woman Found Safe

CHICAGO (CBS) - A missing developmentally disabled woman has been located, two days after she vanished from the Edgewater neighborhood near Rosehill Cemetery.

Barbara Thompson, 55, was located sometime Monday morning, police said. No details were immediately available, but police said she is OK.

Before Monday, Thompson had last been seen on Saturday in the 5600 block of North Ravenswood Avenue, according to a missing persons alert from Belmont Area police detectives.

Police said Thompson was likely confused and is very shy.

Thompson recently moved, and police had suspected she might be in the area of her former residence in the 3000 block of North Troy Street, police said.
