Police Officers Among Injured In Car Accidents On South Side
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two police officers were injured in a car accident Sunday while responding to a separate crash.
Police say there was a two-car auto accident in the 1200 block of West Pershing around 2:45 p.m.
Officers were traveling towards the accident when they swerved to avoid a pedestrian and lost control. They side-swiped a vehicle that was involved in the previous accident and then struck two additional vehicles.
The two officers hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
Four others involved in the crashes were also transported to area hospitals.
