Police: Man Fatally Shot In West Englewood
(STMW) --A man was shot and killed early Saturday in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.
Genorel Martin, 24, was shot about 1 a.m. in the apartment building where he lived in the 6700 block of South Throop, authorities said. He was opening the door to the building's vestibule when a male opened fire, police said.
Martin was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:12 a.m., the Cook County medical examiner's office said.
