A reported shooting on the Kennedy Expressway early Wednesday shut down lanes just in time for the morning rush.

Illinois State Police said at 4:15 a.m., troopers responded to gunfire in the outbound lanes of the Kennedy (I-90/94) at Division Street.

No injuries were reported.

The ramp from Division Street to the outbound Kennedy was shut down immediately.

All lanes reopened just after 7 a.m.

The investigation remains ongoing.
