One day after the anniversary of his 20 strikeout game at Wrigley Field, the Indians activated closer Kerry Wood from the DL. The former Cub returns to the Indians roster today, making him available for the first time this season. [photogallerylink id=9740]
Wood has been on the DL 13 times in his career.
On May 6th, 1998, Wood tied Roger Clemens' record for strikeouts in a single game with 20 K's. He also set the all-time single-game rookie record for strikeouts in a game.
