No April Fooling; Temperatures Likely To Hit The 70s Wednesday
CHICAGO (CBS) -- It's no prank. Temperatures really should climb into the 70s for much of the Chicago area on Wednesday.
CBS 2 Meteorologist Megan Glaros reports it should be a very sunny and beautiful first day of April, with a high temperature of about 71 degrees. It will be slightly cooler by the lake, but still in the high 60s.
Unfortunately, by Wednesday night, clouds will start to increase, and after temperatures drop into the low 50s overnight, a storm system is expected to roll through early Thursday.
Thunderstorms and rain showers could stick around much of the day on Thursday, which will be slightly cooler, with a high of around 64.
Friday will be significantly cooler, with temperatures topping out in the mid 40s, and a possible mix of rain and snow.
The weekend should bring more normal temperatures for this time of year, with a high of 54 on Saturday, and 50 on Sunday, with more rain showers possible on Easter Sunday.
