NICU babies at Franciscan Health in northwest Indiana get into the Easter spirit
Newborns at Franciscan Health in northwest Indiana are hopping into the Easter spirit early.
The babies at the hospitals in Crown Point and Dyer, Indiana, were photographed earlier this week surrounded by Easter-themed decorations.
Family Birth Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit staff helped families create photos of the tiny newborns, including two sets of twins, wearing "Freshly Hatched #NICU" onesies, bunny ears, and tutus, and posed with baby chicks, carrots, Easter baskets, Easter eggs, and more.
A spokesperson for Franciscan Health said staff members take extra care in planning photos with special outfits and props to bring a sense of normalcy and joy to families during what can be a stressful time.
