New iPhone App Warns Riders Of Smelly Cabs
CHICAGO (CBS) -- If you've always wanted to be able to warn fellow cab riders about a particularly offensive ride, there's now an app for that.
As WBBM Newsradio's Bernie Tafoya reports, "offensive" in this case means "smelly." Many people have had the experience of hopping into the back seat of a cab and wondering what died inside days before.

Now, you can download the free "Smelly Taxi" iPhone app and warn others.
Self-described "serial entrepreneur" Adam Saffro told the Chicago Sun-Times he developed the app a few months ago. He told the newspaper he was motivated to design the app after getting into a cab near his River North home that smelled like body odor and urine.
Saffro's smelly taxi app lets cab users rate their trips on odor, cleanliness and professionalism of the driver on a scale of 1 to 5 – 1 being the worst, the Sun-Times reported.
Users can also upload pictures of themselves in the cab, maybe even pinching their noses.
