Minimum wage increases for Cook County workers beginning July 1
CHICAGO (CBS) -- The minimum wage will jump for Cook County workers starting Saturday.
Effective July 1, the minimum wage ordinance or MWO will increase from $13.35 to $13.70 for non-tipped workers.
It rises from $7.80 to $8 for workers who receive tips.
This applies to hourly, salaried, and tipped employees over the age of 18.
