Man Shot While Headed Down Lake Shore Drive Downtown

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was shot and wounded early Friday while headed down Lake Shore Drive, at the northern cusp of Grant Park downtown.
The shooting happened around 3:40 a.m., as three people headed south on Lake Shore Drive near Randolph Drive. The occupants of the vehicle all heard gunshots, police said.
A 42-year-old man in the car was wounded in the buttocks, and was treated and released from Rush University Medical Center, police said.

The car was left with several bullet holes, and the windows were shattered.
The victims said the shots came from someone inside a dark-colored sport-utility vehicle, police said.
No one was in custody in the shooting as of Friday morning.
