Man Critically Wounded While Sitting In Vehicle In Back Of The Yards
CHICAGO (STMW) - A man was critically wounded early Saturday while sitting in a vehicle in the South Side Back of the Yards neighborhood.
At 12:52 a.m., the 23-year-old man was sitting in a vehicle with a female in the 5200 block of South Green Street when a male walked up and fired shots into the vehicle, police said.
The man was taken in critical condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County with a gunshot wound to the chest. No one else was injured.
A suspect is in custody and Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
