Kenny says no waiver moves expected

White Sox general manager believes that the waiver wire is dead for the remainder of the season.
"There are more blocks [on the waiver wire] out there this year than there ever has been for whatever reason." Williams said at the Sox Bowling for Charity event held tonight at Lucky Strike lanes in down town Chicago. "I don't suspect anybody is going to slip through it."
This means Sox manager Ozzie Guillen will have to navigate his way through the rest of the season with his current roster, which did receive good health news today.
"I got some good news today on JJ Putz and his knee and on Matt Thornton and his elbow so hopefully we can get that squared away in the next few days."

Williams added that Thornton has no structural damage in his shoulder. Thornton and Putz are essential to the White Sox bullpen, especially right before a crucial home stretch this week which includes three against Baltimore, and the New York Yankees come into town for a weekend series.
The Sox are currently four and a half games back of the Minnesota Twins who lost tonight.
