Justice Joy Cunningham sworn in to Illinois Supreme Court

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Justice Joy Cunningham is now the second Black woman to serve on the Illinois Supreme Court.

She was sworn-in Thursday, with her son Jeremy by her side. Justice Cunningham filled the vacant seat left by retired Judge Anne Burke.

She began her career in 1982 as an assistant in the office of the Illinois Attorney General.
