Judge Won't Release Illinois Woman Accused In Terrorism Case
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 34-year-old Schiller Park woman accused of sending money to help terrorists has been denied bail.
The attorney for Mediha Salkicevic wanted the judge to grant bail so Salkicevic could get to St. Louis on her own and face terrorism charges along with co-defendants there.

But the judge refused, saying Salkicevic's attorney Andrea Gambino hadn't presented any evidence to suggest Salkicevic was not a flight risk and was not a threat to the community.
Attorney Gambino told reporters outside of court that Salkicevic was disappointed that the judge didn't grant bail.
"She's holding up strong. She's most concerned about her family. But she is innocent and that's how she feels."
Now federal marshals will take Salkicevic to Saint Louis to face charges of aiding Al-Qaeda and ISIS.
Salkicevic sat in court wearing an orange prison jumpsuit and a black hijab.
As the judge spoke about the charges against her - that she gave some money for Al-Qaeda and ISIS - "relatively small amounts of money," the judge said, she wiped her eyes and lowered her head.
"The weight of the evidence is incredibly strong," said Judge Jeffrey Cole.
But he encouraged her to ask for bail when she got to St. Louis.
Salkicevic is married and is the mother of four.
