People who need prescription drugs, particularly those who are uninsured or underinsured, have an option that could help.
The Illinois Rx Card is available online, and those who want a card but do not have access to the Internet are can get one at CVS or Dominick's pharmacies. While those two stores are the "preferred" pharmacies of the card, the discount drug program is being honored at more than 56,000 pharmacies nationwide.
Savings are estimated at an average of 30 percent and a maximum of 75 percent.
