House Fire Displaces Chicago Family
CHICAGO (STMW) - About six people were displaced when a fire damaged their home Saturday night on the South Side.
The fire started about 7 p.m. at a one-story, single-family home at 9545 S. Constance Ave., Fire Media Affairs spokesman Joe Roccasalva said.
Initial reports indicated children were trapped in the home, causing the response to be elevated to a still-and-box alarm, Roccasalva said. However, everyone was safely out of the home when firefighters arrived and the blaze was extinguished about 15 minutes later.
The house was damaged and six people, including children, will be displaced.
