Honoring Andre Dawson's Hall of Fame induction

Sunday beginning at 12:30 central time, Andre Dawson will be inducted in the Hall of Fame. After nine years of eligibility, he finally made it in. Dawson's plaque will depict him with a Montreal Expo's cap. Dawson wanted to be inducted as a Cub, but Hall of Fame officials overruled that decision.

Andre Dawson started his career in 1976 on the Montreal Expos. He was the 250th pick in the 11th round during the 1975 draft, but didn't debut until September in 1976. He played 11 seasons with the Expos before joining the Cubs with his blank contract stunt. While with the Cubs in 1987, he was the National League Most Valuable Player after leading the Senior Circuit with 49 homers and 137 RBIs.
