Fred Hoiberg Rounds Out His Bulls Coaching Staff
(CBS) New Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg has rounded out his coaching staff.
Randy Brown and Charlie Henry were officially hired as Bulls assistants on Tuesday, and Mike Wilhelm will be retained as an assistant.
Brown, 47, is making the move to the bench after spending the past six seasons in Chicago's front office and in player development. Brown was most recently an assistant general manager for the Bulls. Prior to joining Chicago in 2009, he was an assistant coach for two years with Sacramento. He was a member of the Bulls' championship teams in 1996, 1997 and 1998.
Henry, 29, was one of Hoiberg's confidantes at Iowa State, where he was an assistant coach in 2014-'15 after previously serving as the director of player development and as a graduate assistant. He has a little bit of NBA experience, as he was a video intern for the Pacers in 2010-'11.
Wilhelm, 49, has been an assistant with the Bulls since 2002 -- spanning the tenures of Bill Cartwright, Scott Skiles, Jim Boylan (interim for 56 games in 2008), Vinny Del Negro and Tom Thibodeau, as well as Hoiberg now.
Those three join a staff that already includes associate head coach Jim Boylen and assistant Pete Myers.
