UPDATED: Everything Going Right For Bears
UPDATE: While the talk that the field would make for sloppy conditions dominated the week, the Bears showed no signs of that during their 40-14 domination of the Minnesota Vikings.
It seems as if the Bears' focus during the week was not on the field and conditions at TCF Bank Stadium, but on stopping whoever the Vikings rolled out at quarterback and putting together an offensive game plan to ensure victory.
With that victory came a longer season for the Bears. Thanks to a little help from other teams around the league, the Bears clinched the NFC North title and a spot in the playoffs.

The Bears may not be excited about playing at TCF Bank Stadium [Monday] tonight, but that's really the only thing that hasn't gone well for them this past week.
All week the Bears knew that they could clinch the NFC North title on Monday night, but they also knew that they needed a little bit of help from other teams around the league as well.
"This weekend worked out perfectly for them," Sean Jensen, of the Chicago Sun-Times, said on the Danny Mac Show. "All the teams that really could have helped them by losing, lost. And most notably the Green Bay Packers."
With the stars seemingly aligned for the Bears, the players shouldn't be concerned what type of field they're playing on. They should be ready to play any field possible, to get to the playoffs.
"For these guys to have really not been to the playoffs for three years," Jensen said. "If they're [told] to play on concrete, then play on concrete."
