Evanston Man Charged With Injuring Prostitute
EVANSTON, Ill. (STMW) -- A man was charged Saturday with battery after injuring a prostitute in his north suburban Evanston home.
Officers responded at 4:06 p.m. Saturday to a battery in progress in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue after receiving several calls of a woman bleeding from her head in a seventh floor hallway, Evanston police said.
The woman was visibly disturbed but uncooperative when taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston for medical treatment, police said. She was belligerent and out of control at the hospital.
The woman was admitted to the hospital for a small laceration to the back of her head that required two stitches, police said.
The suspect, John Dotson, 41, refused to cooperate and was arrested. Police learned Dotson hired the woman to perform sexual services, police said.
Dotson was charged with a misdemeanor count of battery, according to police.
