Einstein Bros Bagel Closing 11 'Underperforming' Stores In Chicago, Suburbs
(STMW) -- The company that owns Einstein Bros Bagels is closing eight of its stores in Chicago and three in the suburbs.
They'll close for good on Tuesday, the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting.
"After careful evaluation, Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc. has come to the difficult decision to close 39 underperforming restaurants, effective Tuesday, February 24, 2015," according to an announcement from the company.
Twenty-one Einstein Bros shops will remain open in Chicago and the suburbs, according to the company.
The stores that are being closed in Chicago are at:
• 3420 N. Southport
• 5318 N. Clark
• 2530 N. Clark
• 3455 N. Clark
• 933 W. Diversey
• 948 W. Armitage
• 962-964 W. Belmont
• 180 N. Michigan
These will close in the suburbs:
• 682 Vernon Avenue, Glencoe
• 17W432 22nd St., Oakbrook Terrace
• 480 W Army Trail Rd, Carol Stream
