Easter Bunny pays surprise visit to NICU patients at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois

Things were hopping at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois, when the Easter Bunny stopped by to pay a special visit to patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Needless to say, the babies took the spotlight as they were dressed for their first Easter in themed outfits—some with tiny bunny ears, others with bows and Easter onesies.  

Nurses, families, and care teams also got in on the fun, taking pictures with the bunny. 

"The early visit from the Easter Bunny added a special touch of joy for families navigating an emotional time. With giggles, smiles, and lots of "awws," the unit was filled with a sense of celebration and hope – proving that even in the NICU, the spirit of the season finds a way to bloom," a hospital spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said that while the babies won't remember their first Easter, the pictures will last forever.
