Cubs Recall Pitcher Brian Schlitter
(CBS) -- The Chicago Cubs have recalled pitcher Brian Schlitter from Triple-A Iowa and sent down outfielder Matt Szczur.
Schlitter, 29, went 0-2 with a 9.53 ERA in seven appearances in his first stint with the team this season. Last season, the right-hander went 2-3 with a 4.15 ERA in 61 appearances.
In 18 games this season, Szczur has hit .172 with two doubles and five RBIs.
