Cubs close to deal that would send Lee to Braves
According to media reports the Chicago Cubs are close to finalizing a deal that would send Derrek Lee to the Atlanta Braves.
The Braves are looking to replace the bat of Chipper Jones that they lost when the third baseman suffered a season ending injury. Lee has a no trade clause in his contract, which expires after this year, and has already vetoed a trade that would have sent him to the Los Angeles Angels.
