Bucktown Convenience Store Clerk Injured During Armed Robbery
CHICAGO (CBS)-- A convenience store clerk was injured during an armed robbery on the Northwest Side.
Chicago police said two men went into the store near Damen and Armitage around 1:30 a.m.
One of the men pulled out a gun, forcing the clerk to open the register.
After taking some money and cigarettes, the armed man hit the clerk over the head with the gun.
The two took off in a white Pontiac.
The clerk was taken to the hospital to have his wounds checked out.
