CHICAGO (CBS)-- A warmer day is ahead, with Thursday's high temperatures in the mid-80s.

A Dense Fog Advisory was in effect for areas south and southwest of the city until 9 a.m.

Friday brings afternoon storm chances that could be strong to severe.
