Chicago Weather: Full Sun On Tuesday
CHICAGO (CBS) -- High pressure builds overhead giving us lots of sun on Tuesday.
Temperatures struggle a bit as they top out in the upper 20s. The normal high is 31 degrees.
A southwesterly wind flow develops by Wednesday and we climb into the mid-30s as clouds increase.
Those clouds are ahead of our next weather maker. But for this one, the track is tricky as it is cut off from the jet stream, meaning it may move more slowly and wobble a bit.
Early indications are that temperatures will climb into the upper 30s Thursday through Saturday as the system moves through. That would mean a rain/snow mix for our area, but it's too soon to know for sure.
The Climate Prediction Center is keeping us well above average through the rest of January with no Arctic blast in sight.
