4 injured, including 2 officers, after crash involving Chicago police squad car
Four people, including two officers, were injured after a crash involving a Chicago police squad car in Humboldt Park on Tuesday morning.
Chicago police said officers in a marked squad car with emergency lights activated, driving northbound on Hamlin Avenue, collided with an eastbound SUV in the 3700 block of West Division Street around 6:10 a.m.
Police said the SUV then hit a parked vehicle.
Chicago police said two officers were taken to a local hospital in fair condition.
Police said the 41-year-old woman driving the SUV and a 62-year-old female passenger were taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in fair condition.
Video from the scene at Division Street and Hamlin Avenue shows a squad car with damage to the front of the vehicle and debris on the roadway.
Police said citations are pending.
