2019 Chicago Auto Show: Keeping Kids Safe

Chicago (CBS) -- As of Jan. 1, 2019, a new Illinois law went into effect requiring all kids ages 2 and under to remain in a rear-facing car seat. Marissa Bailey and her son Beau help answer some questions.

The Chicago Auto Show has the highest percentage of women visitors among all of the U.S. shows, at a little less than 50 percent. When it comes to buying a set of wheels, figures show women play a leading role in up to 85 percent of auto purchases.

Surprisingly, there aren't as many man on the road as women. There are 1.4 million more women who are licensed to drive than men. Women also tend to purchase more new cars than used ones, with 62 percent of new cars in the country purchased by women.
