Bulls might sign McGrady this week

For many it would be 10 years too late but the Bulls might sign Tracy McGrady later this week. McGrady will have a workout with the Bulls on Monday and then take a physical. If both go well and he agrees to what the Bulls would want of him then a signing of a 1 year contract would likely take place.
You may remember that back in 2000 the Bulls courted the likes of McGrady and Tim Duncan when they delved heavily into free agency that summer. Against his better wishes, Jerry Krause met McGrady at the airport along with the likes of a band and Benny The Bull. Don't know if that turned him off but McGrady ultimately signed with Orlando and the Bulls were left with egg on their face.
Fast forward to today and now McGrady is actually courting the Bulls. He knows this might be the best situation for him and he will try and convince the Bulls he still has game left. McGrady will have a workout and physical on Monday and then the Bulls will tell him how he would fit into their plans. He wouldn't start but could see significant minutes off the bench if he becomes a team player who also plays defense.
Derrick Rose wants McGrady on the team and appeasing the franchise player is always a wise course of action. So we'll see if he passes the Bulls tests and agrees to their demands and, if so, McGrady could be a Bull by weeks end.
