Boy, 15, Critically Injured In Woodlawn Shooting

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 15-year-old boy was shot and critically injured in Woodlawn Sunday night.

The shooting happened around 8:20 p.m. in the 1200 block of East 63rd Street, police said.

The boy was on the sidewalk when a silver sedan approached and someone inside began firing, police said.

The boy was shot once in the lower back and was rushed to Jackson Park Hospital in critical condition, police said.

No one was in custody late Sunday. Area One detectives were investigating.
