Body found in pond in Elk Grove Village
A person was found dead in a pond on Thursday afternoon in northwest suburban Elk Grove Village.
Shortly after 4 p.m., police and firefighters responded to reports of a person in the water in a pond in the 700 block of Innovation Drive.
Police said a dead male was found in the water, but did not provide further details.
A death investigation was underway Thursday afternoon.
