Bears Sign LB Danny Mason, OL Garry Williams
(CBS) The Bears made several minor roster moves Thursday afternoon, signing linebacker Danny Mason and offensive Garry Williams. Chicago also waived defensive lineman Marquis Jackson and waived offensive lineman Adrian Bellard with an injury settlement.
Mason spent part of the 2015 season on the Bears practice squad after originally entering the league as an undrafted free agent with the Broncos that same season. He was previously waived by Chicago in May.
Williams played in 41 games, making 21 starts, for the Panthers from 2009 to 2014.
Jackson attended the Bears' rookie and veteran mini-camps as a tryout player before signing with them in June. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2013.
Bellard and Chicago parted ways after he joined the team as an undrafted free agent in May.
