Apparently Not Fake News: A 'Hipster Nativity Set' For $130
(CBS) -- An online retailer is attracting notice for its variation on a holiday staple, the Nativity Scene.
Modern Nativity has recast the classic tableau of Baby Jesus, Mary and Joseph, the Three Wise Men et al as a "Hipster Nativity Scene."
Mary and Joseph are selfie-taking parents; Joseph has a Man Bun and Mary has a Starbucks-style drink in her hand. The Three Wise Men are a motley crew of urbanites riding Segways and delivering Amazon Prime packages as gifts. A shepherd is busy on his smart phone with some pampered livestock.
According to the manufacturer's website, all this can be yours for $130.
CBS 2 emailed Modern Nativity Thursday seeking comment about the Nativity set.
