Alleged Salesman Kissed 12-Year-Old Girl

JOLIET, Ill. (STMW) - A man claiming to work for an alarm system company was found kissing a 12-year-old girl Thursday in southwest suburban Joliet.

A white man in his early 20s approached a resident in the 300 block of Reardon Drive in Joliet. He identified himself as "Devon" from a security systems company. He wore a white ball cap with the company's logo.

The woman told him she was not interested in having an alarm system installed.

Later, she sent her 12-year-old daughter to take the family dog outside.

"Around 9:15 p.m., the woman hadn't seen her daughter for a while and went out to find the man kissing her alongside the house before he ran from the scene," police said.
