100 Club Of Chicago Holds 3rd Annual Family Day At Brookfield Zoo

(CBS) -- The 100 Club of Chicago remembered brave men and women who died in the line of duty.

The third annual 100 Club Family Day at the Brookfield Zoo honored families of fallen heroes who served as police officers, firefighters and paramedics. The organization is celebrating 49 years of service to 257 families.

"We are here to honor you, to thank you and express our profound appreciation for your family's service and for your sacrifices," said 100 Club CEO Joe Ahern.

The 100 Club of Chicago provides financial support for families of first responders who've died in the line of duty including helping their children with tuition for higher education.
