For decades, Maryland woman have risked their lives for their country by serving as spies. The most well-known is Harriet Tubman, who spied for the Union Army. Anna Carroll was among Maryland’s elite, and her intelligence reached the highest levels of government, earning her the nickname “Lincoln’s Secret General.”
